The countdown is on to the 25th Pride in Hull this weekend and the organisers of the region’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebration are set to join Hull Trains’ popular Moving Minds podcast to speak about the importance of the event.
Hull Trains is also offering free travel to and from Hull from specified stations for people wanting to attend Pride in Hull. The company is supporting a range of festivals this year as a proud champion of arts and cultural events in the region.
Episodes of the popular podcast, which launched earlier this year to mark Time To Talk Day, are recorded during real Hull Trains journeys on the East Coast Main Line, with interviewees joining the onboard studio at destinations between East Yorkshire and London King’s Cross. The video podcasts, hosted by Hull soap star Gemma Oaten, feature special guests sharing their own mental health stories and wellbeing tips.
During this latest episode, which will be available this week, Andy Train and Lee Pearson, both integral members of the team behind the event, speak about the ongoing importance of Pride in Hull. This year's main stage is in the iconic Zebedee’s Yard, with performances from Drag Race UK winner Ginger Johnson and West End star Kerry Ellis. There’s also a family area and community market.
