Here’s a few tips to make your journey as smooth as possible if you are travelling over the festive period.

Book your train tickets in advance and reserve a seat for your journey.
We recommend using E-tickets where possible so you can travel paperless and skip the station queues. You can easily and securely store your e-ticket in the Hull Trains app.

Before you board
Give yourself plenty of time to reach your departure station and to board your service. To help you plan your journey with us, use our Live Trains tool to see how busy each carriage is in real time. Carriages are highlighted green, amber or red in accordance to how busy they are. You can find out more about our Live Trains tool here.
We offer an at-seat trolley service for our passengers travelling in Standard Class, more information can be found here. For passengers travelling in First Class, we have a selection of freshly made sandwiches, light refreshments and hot and cold drinks, subject to availability.
On board
Over the festive period, many passengers will be travelling with luggage. Our Paragon fleet has improved luggage storage including luggage racks at the end of each carriage, deeper overhead storage and space beneath seats. On busier services, luggage storage space can be limited so our on board luggage allowance is 3 items per person - a maximum of one large suitcase, a carry on bag and a small bag.
