Whilst Winter Wonderland is a fantastic experience, there are so many other quirky Christmas alternatives in London to discover. We rounded up our five must-visit markets this season.
Wintertime at Southbank Centre
The Southbank Centre will be transformed into a wintery paradise, filled with stalls, shows and Christmas joy. On top of an array of artisan gift and food traders, bands, magicians and artists will be performing live throughout the festive season.
Feeling chilly? Head up to the Finnish-inspired rooftop sauna that overlooks the Thames.
Wintertime runs until Thursday 4 January 2018. For more information, please visit the Southbank Centre website.
Winterville at Clapham Common
Clapham Common's much-loved Winterville is back, and this year market-goers can expect oodles of street food vendors, an outdoor cinema and a Spiegeltent complete with yuletide entertainment.
For the little ones, there will be an indoor roller disco and fairground to enjoy. Don't forget to visit Santa in his workshop!
Winterville takes place at Clapham Common from Tuesday 28 November until Monday 1 January. Pop over to the Winterville website for more details.
London Bridge City Christmas Market
The Tower of London and the iconic Tower Bridge make an enchanting backdrop to the London Bridge City Christmas Market.
Fairytale-style chalets will flank the streets, housing around seventy traders serving up mulled wine, hot cider and nibbles from the North Pole. What's more, there's an extensive programme of workshops and entertainment to get involved in.
To discover more, please visit the London Bridge City website.
Greenwich Winter Time Festival
Spreading from the heritage-listed Old Royal Naval College to the picturesque Cutty Sark, this Christmas market is the perfect chance to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
With promises of a contemporary design and craft fair, alongside a stunning ice rink, the Greenwich Winter Time Festival is a strong competitor to the popular Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
The festivities run from Friday 1 until Saturday 31 December. A full list of events and a map can be found on the Greenwich Winter Time website. You must book in advance to enjoy a three-hour session at the festival.
Christmas at Oasis Farm
What once was a strip of wasteland in the heart of Waterloo is now a thriving urban farm.
Oasis Farm is hosting its very own Christmas extravaganza, equipped with food stalls, gift ideas, family fun and live music. For just £1 for adults, you can join in with a winter BBQ, meet some of the animals and even visit Father Christmas. Meanwhile, kids go free!
Christmas at Oasis Farm takes place on Saturday 2 December.
