As the University of Hull welcomes new students from across the world on its official ‘Welcome Week’, Hull Trains has partnered with the institution to spotlight student mental health on its Moving Minds podcast.
In the new episode out today, Jimmy Wilde, Mental Health and Wellbeing Operational Lead of Student Wellbeing at the University of Hull, joins host Gemma Oaten to discuss the challenges of adapting to university life, taking care of your mental health and the work the University of Hull is doing to support student wellbeing.
Going to university marks one of the most significant life changes that people can make. During the episode, Jimmy speaks about the range of support the University of Hull is providing its students with. This includes mental health, financial advice, neurodivergent support and much more.
Jimmy tells Gemma that his team are ‘one open door’ for students to access support and that they are ensuring that wellbeing is implemented into all areas of the University.
