Doncaster Station was built in 1849 and is the main South Yorkshire railway station located on the East Coast Main Line to London. It is located adjacent to the Frenchgate shopping centre with a direct walk way linking the two structures. Doncaster railway station has all the facilities you would expect of a major transport hub including a taxi rank, ATM machine and plenty of places to eat and drink both in the station and next door in the Frenchgate centre.   When arriving for booked or turn-up-and-go assistance, the meeting point is the Customer Information Point on the main concourse (or ticket office outside the times of 08:15 - 18:00). Staff are available to provide Passenger Assist at all times that trains are operating for customers who have booked or who travel as turn-up-and-go. Assistance is available both to board/alight trains and also navigating around the station.
