Off Peak train tickets offer a more flexible way to travel in comparison to Advance tickets. Off Peak tickets are valid only during Off Peak times – save money by avoiding busier services and travel outside of the peak travel times on Monday to Thursday. We’ve lifted peak time restrictions on Fridays until further notice, so you can travel at any time throughout the whole day on Fridays. See below for Off Peak train time details. Off Peak travel is permitted any time on weekends and bank holidays.

What are Off Peak Train Tickets?

Off Peak train tickets are tickets that allow you to be flexible with your travel, avoiding the busiest peak services. They give you flexibility as you can choose from multiple services meaning you are not required to travel on one specific service, like you would be with an Advance ticket. Off Peak train tickets are available as singles, returns and day returns. Off Peak Singles/Returns and Off Peak day returns differ in validity so be sure to check before you travel.

Hull Trains Only and Any Permitted Off Peak tickets also differ in validity. Please enquire if you have an Any Permitted Off Peak ticket and you are unsure, or you can check the National Rail Enquiries website.

OFF PEAK TRAIN TICKETS INFORMATION

Hull Trains Only Off Peak tickets are tickets with flexibility where you can travel outside of peak times on Hull Trains services.
Any Permitted Services Off Peak tickets allow you to travel on any train operators service outside of peak times. Peak times may differ from train operator to train operator. 
Off Peak means a service that is outside of the busiest travel times. Off Peak times can differ across train operators. 
Peak service restrictions are in place Monday to Thursday. We’ve lifted restrictions on Fridays until further notice. You can travel any time on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. The validity of Off Peak Single/Return tickets differ to Off Peak Day Return tickets, see below for Hull Trains Off Peak restrictions throughout Monday – Thursday:

Yes, flexible tickets such as Off Peak tickets can be amended at your point of purchase. If you’ve purchased an Off Peak ticket with Hull Trains, you can change the date or time of travel. Changes can be made fee free before the original travel date/time.

Yes, your ticket is refundable. If you decide not to use your ticket to make all or part of your journey then you can request a refund by returning your unused ticket(s) to your place of purchase within 28 days of the ticket expiry date.
