To mark the impressive milestone, the operator has unveiled a special video, which looks back on its proud record serving the communities along the East Coast route. One of its modern bi-mode Hitachi trains now features an eye-catching 25th anniversary design.
Hull Trains has revolutionised rail travel between East Yorkshire and London, offering a total of eight direct weekday train services, connecting Hull with destinations including Doncaster, Grantham, Selby and London King’s Cross. Before Hull Trains launched services on 25th September 2000, there was just one train per day in each direction.
The Hull-based company is currently offering celebratory £25 fares across some services between Hull and London for travel during January and February 2026.
The operator’s combination of sustainability with affordable fares, excellent customer service and support for local communities, has proven to be a winning formula as it continues to go from strength to strength.
Louise Mendham, Service Delivery Director, Hull Trains, commented: “At the heart of Hull Trains’ success is our passion for our customers and we’re honoured to have been a part of their lives for 25 years. We may have expanded our services over the years, but I’m proud that we’ve never lost the East Yorkshire charm that really sets Hull Trains apart.
“I’d like to personally thank our dedicated colleagues who are committed to delivering first class customer service every single day. We look forward to connecting East Yorkshire with the capital for many years to come.”
Hull Trains secured four prestigious awards at the recent Corporate Engagement Awards held in London which recognised the company’s outstanding work supporting local good causes, partnerships and charitable work.
