Hull Trains has launched a summer ticket deal to allow families to travel between Hull and London for just £99.
The great-value family ticket deal is available throughout the entire school summer holidays -when leisure prices are usually at a premium – to help parents from Hull and Brough travel to the capital with their children on a budget.
The ticket deal can also be used by families from London wanting to venture up north this summer to explore the UK City of Culture 2017 – 2020, at less than £25 per person.
Families of five – often forgotten in ticket deals – are also catered for and can travel for just £119 and Hull Trains has also included families of six in the deal who can travel for just £139.
2 for 1 tickets to top London attractions
Not only have Hull Trains made it more affordable to travel to London – but the firm has also made sightseeing in London more purse-friendly too.
Hull Trains has joined up with Days Out Guide to offer passengers 2 for 1 ticket entry to more than 150 top attractions, restaurants, theatres, exhibitions and more.
All passengers who travel with Hull Trains can enjoy London at a fraction of the price with this offer – simply by downloading a voucher and showing their train tickets at the venue.
Attractions include the Coca Cola London Eye, The Tower of London, The London Dungeon, City Cruises, London Zoo and Madame Tussauds - to name a few.
Louise Cheeseman, Managing Director at Hull Trains said: “We know how expensive the summer holidays can be and we also know how much families enjoy days out and weekends away, so we’ve launched this ticket deal to make a trip more affordable.
“In the leisure industry prices are usually hiked at peak times, such as the school summer holidays, but we don’t think that’s fair on families, so we have done the opposite and lowered our prices to help families.
“The ticket deal is perfect for all families thinking of having a break to London this summer, but it is also perfect for those who don’t want to stay over too.
“With Hull Trains, families can be in London in under three hours which makes a day trip achievable, so even if you are not staying over, this ticket offer makes for a great day out.
“Then after a full day in the capital parents can sit back and relax on the return journey without the tiredness and stress of driving.”
Free activity packs for children
Hull Trains has also recently launched its free activity packs for children to help keep them entertained throughout the journey.
The packs come inside a drawstring bag, complete with an activity book and pencils, jigsaw, stickers and a ‘make your own’ model train.
