Originally opened in 1852, Grantham Station is located right in the centre of town – so, as you step off your train to Grantham, you’re just a short stroll away from its many attractions, including the Grantham Museum and the Guildhall Arts Centre.
Ticket office
The tickets office is open from 05:35 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, Saturday from 05:50 to 20:00 and Sunday from 09:05 to 19:30. Self-service machines are also available.
Car park
Grantham station car park offers a generous 807 spaces with 12 accessible spaces available 24/7. The following charges apply:
Daily rate: £11.00
Weely rate: £48.00
Monthly, three-monthly and annual car parking passes are also available (a valid rail season ticket must be presented).
A free short stay car park (maximum stay of one hour) is also available.
Taxis
Taxis are normally available at the station’s rank, so advance booking isn’t usually necessary; however, if you are arriving early in the morning or late at night, it’s a good idea to book ahead with Grantham Taxis on 07976 970 694.

Belton House

Located three miles north of Grantham town centre, this 17th century country house sits within 1300 acres of parkland. The King’s School

Sir Isaac Newton was educated at The King’s School, and the original 1492 building where he would have studied is still used as the school library today. Unfortunately, the school isn’t open to the general public, but it’s still worth taking a look at the imposing exterior of the historic building.
Margret Thatcher’s Childhood Home

Pay your respects to Grantham’s most famous political resident by visiting the former corner shop that she and her family once called home. It’s now a chiropractic clinic, but look out for the plaque that marks this humble building’s historic importance.
St. Wulframs Church

Constructed in the 1300s from Lincolnshire limestone, St Wulframs is one of the largest medieval churches in the country and also boasts one of the UK’s tallest parish church spires. Right in front of the Guildhall Arts Centre stands Grantham’s impressive statue of Sir Isaac Newton. Erected in 1858 and created by sculptor William Theed, it’s a fitting tribute to the town’s most famous son.
Woolsthorpe Manor

Take the short trip out of town to visit the manor house where Sir Isaac Newton spent his childhood, and also made some of his most important discoveries.
