Fill up on a hearty breakfast at Half Cup. Their Full English is jam-packed full of grilled bacon, roasted tomato, baked beans, mushrooms, hash browns and a slice of buttered sourdough topped with a soft egg.

For just £10.50, it is one of the most affordable big plates in the area. Meanwhile, you can also tuck into savoury pancakes, loaded croissants, bircher muesli or your choice of breakfast brioche.

Granger & Co

If you've just stepped off the train to a dreary London, Granger & Co. is just what you need. Inspired by the sunny, easygoing and generous vibe of Australia, this restaurant offers something completely different in the middle of King's Cross.

Deliciously squeezed juices and smoothies with fruits and grains are in abundance to fuel you up for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, indulge in freshly-baked buns and muffins and grilled cheese sandwiches. Bill Granger first set up in Sydney in 1993 and the branch now serves hungry mouths across the globe.

Granger & Co. can be found in the Stanley Building, 7 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG. It's open Monday-Saturday 7am-11pm and Sundays/Bank Holidays 8am-10:30pm.

Cafe OZ

From Oz to OZ, this little cafe on Caledonian Road is renowned for its affordable, mouth-watering scran.

Get your paws on a bacon or sausage butty from just £3.40 and a cup of tea for a humble pound. Cafe OZ also offers a menu of breakfast paninis, salads and takeaway boxes. Or you can enjoy the sights of the capital from the comfort of their indoor and street seating areas.

Cafe OZ is located at 53 Caledonian Road, King's Cross, London, N1 9BU. You can grab a bite from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday and 9am-4pm at weekends.

The Megaro

Sourcing only the most local and fresh ingredients, you are guaranteed to enjoy the mouth-watering breakfast classics at The Megaro. For £12, you can fill your face with Cumberland sausage, eggs, bacon and all the trimmings.

Veggies can also enjoy a tummy-tingling meal, as well as those looking for a lighter morning option. The Megaro serves fruit salads and granola yogurts alongside a range of treats such as pancakes and moreish French toast.

You can find The Megaro at 23-27 Euston Road, King's Cross, London, NW1 2SD. They are open weekdays 7am-10pm, Saturdays 8am-10pm and Sundays 8am-9pm.

Plum + Spilt Milk

Whilst a little more expensive than your average cafe, Plum + Spilt Milk is the place to be if you yearn for luxury after arriving at King's Cross.

With classic seasonal British dishes designed by Michelin star chef Mark Sargeant, you will be truly stuffed after digging into Cackleberry Farm eggs, Paddock Farm sausage, smoked free-range bacon, slow roasted tomatoes and Doreen's black pudding. At the weekend, celebrate a special occasion with champagne brunch for two that's served 11am-4pm.

Plum + Spilt Milk can be found in the Great Northern Hotel at King's Cross St Pancras Station, Pancras Road, London, N1C 4TB. The restaurant is open 7am-9pm Mondays, 7am-10pm Tuesday to Friday, 8am-10pm on Saturdays and 8am-9pm on Sundays.

 

Niven's Fine Food

If you want to make the most of your trip and take your morning snack with you, head over to Niven's Fine Food.

This cafe and delicatessen is a lovely little find on King's Cross Road. Menu highlights include tasty meats straight from the butcher, homemade baked, beans and ham and Gruyère croissants. You can also grab a filling breakfast pot for just £1.95 and an Americano for £1.90.
