The open access operator has improved on figures recorded 2004 to ensure that a remarkable 89.8% of trains ran on time last autumn - traditionally the most difficult time of the year for train service punctuality and reliability. This figure compares extremely favourably with those achieved by other major train companies that operate in the area, with Hull Trains coming out as one of the most reliable companies in the region. The figures show Hull Trains to be the most punctual operator of long-distance trains on the busy East Coast Main Line between the North of England and London King's Cross.
