Locally known as Nellie’s, the White Horse Inn pre-dates 1666 and is Beverley’s second oldest inn. To give punters a feel of what the pub was like back when it was a coaching inn most of the original features are still in place. Gas lights and chandeliers, small individual rooms, rickety stone, wooden floors and open fires are all still stand in all their glory at Nellie’s so punters can enjoy a drink and take a step back in time.

Beverley Minster

Beverley Minster is the Parish Church of St. John and St. Martin and stands on the site where the tomb of John, Bishop of York who died in 721. Throughout the Middle Ages miracles are said to take place at this tomb which attracted pilgrims from far and wide. Today the church continues to be a place of pilgrimage for visitors far and wide as well as a place of prayer and worship at the heart of the Beverley community.

Beverley Westwood

Beverley Westwood is an open space on the edge of the west of Beverley. During the summer months cattle and sheep graze freely among the pasture. The Westwood is a perfect place for a family days out and walking days with many popular routes found online.
